Summer Camp Opportunities

Lions Youth Camp

Missouri Lions Clubs would like to make you and your students aware of a program sponsored by Lions Club International called the Youth Camps and Exchange (YCE). YCE has programs all around the world and is designed for young people between the ages of 15 and 22 to create and foster a spirit of understanding among peoples of the world.

By providing an avenue for global fellowship, the YCE program aims to help youth initiate, grow, and maintain international relationships promoting cultural education and international peace. This is also a great avenue to develop skills in a second language.

The YCE program is comprised of two major parts: international exchanges and international camps. Exchanges last for 4-6 weeks with the help of host families (Lions or non-Lions), sponsor clubs and host clubs. Camps last for 1-2 weeks and are operated voluntarily by Missouri Lions. This may be less intimidating than spending an entire semester or year as a foreign exchange student.

Exchange opportunities are available in over 30 countries on six continents.

We are asking you to help us make your students aware of this opportunity. If you have students that express interest, I will be happy to send you a follow-up email with an attachment.
